Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Build the digital backbone of a physical brand — storefront, internal tools, and the AI that runs on top.
Mission
Be the first engineer who owns the stack end-to-end. You'll ship the customer-facing experience and the internal tools that let a tiny team punch far above its weight — and you'll wire AI into both. High trust, high autonomy, huge blast radius.
What you'll own
- Own our storefront and headless commerce layer, performance included.
- Build internal tools for ops, catalog, and hiring that remove human bottlenecks.
- Integrate AI into real workflows — content, support, merchandising.
- Set the engineering bar: architecture, quality, and velocity, from scratch.
- Ship weekly. Measure. Iterate.
What success looks like
- In 90 days, a tool you built has removed a recurring manual process.
- Site performance and conversion are measurably better because of you.
- The team trusts you to make architectural calls solo.
First 30 days
- Ship something customer-facing in week one.
- Map every manual workflow worth automating.
- Stand up our AI tooling foundation.
First 90 days
- Own the storefront roadmap.
- Have shipped 2–3 internal tools in daily use.
- Define how we build — stack, standards, and cadence.
The ideal candidate
- You're a generalist who ships fast and sweats UX.
- You've worked close to a business, not behind a Jira wall.
- You reach for AI as a default multiplier.
Required
- 3+ years full-stack (TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node)
- Comfort owning production end-to-end
- A track record of shipping, fast
- Strong product and design instincts
Preferred
- Shopify / headless commerce experience
- LLM / AI tooling in production
- Early-stage or founding-engineer background
